Development of nature-reserve sector with regular account of environmental protection, economical, social and other interests of the society, as well as international commitments of the State, is one of the top priorities of a long-term State policy of Ukraine.
The Committee members believe that creation of a scientifically grounded system of territories and objects of a nature-reserve fund will help to preserve unique and typical nature landscapes, and reduce the rate of biodiversity lessening.
The Committee recommends that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine facilitates submission of the Bill on Ratification of the National Target Environmental Program of the Nature-Reserve Sector for parliamentary consideration.
